Once you are an established or practising artist, used to working on your own in your own way, it is easy to forget how rewarding and stimulating it is to be surrounded by other creative people. Nepal is an exciting and exotic place with so much going on and so many possibilities for an artist. It is enlightening and stimulating to observe the different artistic responses within the group, different techniques and approaches, different values and concerns. |

| The studio is conveniently situated within the grounds of the hotel making it easy for you to split your time between work and relaxation, group activity and individual occupation, as you wish. Everything you need will be available - easels, work surfaces, canvas, stretchers, paints, mediums, drawing materials etc. Life models, in traditional Nepali dress, will be available for as many sessions as required. Additional models can also be arranged. |

Art tutors are present to ensure you have everything you need and to offer feedback when required. Group activities are arranged for those that wish, while others prefer to follow their own direction. Enjoy the hum of creativity and get new technical insights as you watch how different artists create different effects. The atmosphere is casual and each workshop evolves its own feel |
as different participants contribute in different ways, but everyone comes away refreshed, rewarded and re-energised. |

The idea of the workshop is to give all participants plenty of access to the sights of Kathmandu and the surrounding valley. Group excursions, with a cultural expert and guide on hand, are arranged on a daily basis for all those that wish to attend, and demonstrations by local artists are available for those that are interested.
In addition, we make all the necessary arrangements for artists that want to spend more time painting and sketching outside. There are many sites to choose from - beautiful mountain landscapes, views over the city and valley, exotic gardens and plants, the unique traditional architecture, and all the wonderful diversity of life on the streets.
The itinerary for these are finalised after discussion with the participating group to maximise the creative experience for everybody. |
